Planning for the Big Trip

In mid-July, our niece Sarah marries Peer in Denmark. Paul and I are travelling to the UK, then to Denmark, then on to Paris then finally, San Francisco. I intend to do a little shopping here and there, of course...

I have only just started to get some free time to plan what I would like to look for, and prioritise the stores I visit. I'm going to just wing it in Paris and Copenhagen. If I see a shop that looks interesting, I'll investigate.

In London, I have my old favourites but also add to that COS and & Other Stories which didn't exist when I was last there in 2006.

In San Francisco, I have an entire day set aside for some shopping and just 'me time' in a foreign city (my first time in the States!). I'm going to stick to high street brands because most designer doesn't fit me. We're staying in Union Square so we'll be very central.

My first stop will be J. Crew for basics like t-shirts and shorts and maybe a pair of shoes. Second, Madewell (a sister brand of J. Crew). More affordable and a lot less preppy. Next, Zara because I have yet to experience a U.S. Zara! If time allows, I'll stop into any boutiques that catch my eye, and probably Macy's which is a huge department store.

Soon, I'll post a list of items I'll be looking for!
