How fast it came around this year! That's right, Tanya and Jody's annual shopping weekend in Wellington starts tomorrow. 2014 marks the tenth year of this world-famous event. Over the years, I have always flown in from Auckland but Tanya has been based in Wellington, Oamaru, Napier and Hokitika during that time. We have had a few delayed flights as she has made her way out of the sticks, but we always make it.
I shall report next week on my success and hope I have a different experience to last year...

I'll Hang it Here
Melissa Brooks and her dad recently started their online business I'll Hang it Here which sells stylish clothing racks made out of pipe. Just the thing for my future dressing room/parlour (when we finally find a new house!). I love seeing innovators and entrepreneurs finding a gap in the market and offering a niche product to fill it.
Photo used with kind permission. Thanks Melissa!

Quilted // Glassons
Not a huge fan of the House of G but slowly they are modernising and improving the quality of their garments. Spotted two items that are bang on-trend in my local store today:
Two ways I would style this:
1.With a white tee or tank, pale ripped boyfriend jeans and white sandshoes.
2. White tee or tank, indigo skinny jeans and black point-toe heels.
This is a very cute sweatshirt: white with grey marle trim. I would wear this with a black pencil skirt and black high heels.

Grown-up Sleepwear
It's astounding how much nasty sleepwear there is out there. I'm 42, not 11 yet designers seem to think I still want to dress like I am. Am I asking too much to want pjamas that do not feature any of the following:
1. Owls.
2. Bunnies.
3. Cats.
4. Owls and cats.
5. Bunnies and owls.
Or nasty florals.
My search for tasteful, flattering yet comfy pjs is over! The Kay pjama set from Gingerlilly is plain grey marle in soft modal, with a hint of lace and satin. Perfect for lounging, sleeping and answering the door without scaring anyone. I can't wait to wear my pair when it finally cools down here in Auckland...
